Grooming the career of management graduates to grow them as leaders of tomorrow.
Our summer internship program aims to give our summer interns an enriching experience that helps them evolve as management professionals.
Our Management Trainee program is a competitive program in which only summer interns who make it through the rigorous evaluation process are given an offere to work with us.
Our Management Trainees are put through a rigorous training for a period of one year. This cross functional training is interspersed with various classroom training interventions to strengthen their field learning experience.
The Management Trainee period also has a rigorous review mechanism to monitor the progress and ensure that regular feedback is provided to them.
Our trainees are also sent for an international assignment to give them an opportunity to experience and work with other PVM Operating Companies.
Find out about the opportunities some of our Management Trainees have enjoyed at Perfetti Van Melle India.
It has been 4.5 years of working in PVMI now which has been a wonderful journey that started in June’12. I spent 6 months in the management trainee program which comprised of On the Job experience in Sales, Marketing and Trade marketing. The program is so designed that one gets a really good understanding of the function in various geographies from North to South, East to West. My first area to be handled independently as an ASM post the management trainee stint was Gujarat (Surat HQ). After spending 1.5 years in General trade in Gujarat, I got an opportunity to handle Modern trade for West (Mumbai) and presently in North (Gurgaon). Working as a Sales officer during the management trainee program helps us to understand their way and conditions of working which makes us better equipped to lead them after taking on the role of an Area Sales Manager. Working in PVMI feels like being part of a family and I am looking forward to my future in this company
As a management trainee, I underwent a structured training process which required me to travel & work in all the zones of our country for close to 6 months. During this time I was working in the field as a DBSM, PSR, DSE, ASE & ASM which gave me a unique perspective of consumers at various levels in different markets across our nation. Post the management training period, I was appointed as the Area Sales Manager for Central & Eastern UP. I worked in sales for close to 2.5 years and for the past 1 year I have been working as a Product Manager handling Big Babol and Smint brands. The management trainee stint helped me in understanding various sales roles in detail. It also gave me unique insights on consumer preferences and market behaviour. The structured feedback from seniors and meaningful interaction with colleagues helped me understand the importance of team work. I loved the travel and meetings/ interactions with different people. I feel extremely happy and proud to work in an organisation that gives me the opportunity to freely share ideas as well as to make a significant contribution to its’ growth.
PVMI is a place where one can learn, grow and have fun simultaneously. With passion & Innovation embedded in its culture, at PVMI, an individual gets a number of opportunities to holistically evolve as a leader for tomorrow. My Journey at PVMI started with a management trainee program which gave me a detailed exposure to the sales functions and an overview into multiple verticals of the organization. This helped me to understand interdependencies between various functions. Post my management trainee stint I worked as an Areas Sales Manager in Uttar Pradesh for close to 1.5 years. This role not only helped me gain a good understanding of the sales vertical but also sharpened my managerial skills. Currently I am working as a Product Manager in the marketing team where I feel privileged to work with a highly experienced and an amazingly helpful team which collectively aims to bring innovation to what confectionary can do. I am surely looking forward to a fruitful, fun-filled and a never-ending chase-of-my-dreams at Perfetti Van Melle.
My career at PVMI started with the management trainee stint, which helped me learn a lot about the organisation, the way it operates, different channel partners and functions. Post the management trainee stint, I moved into an ASM role handling a part of north east and recently moved to Jharkhand under the same role. The learnings under the management trainee stint continue to help me become a better leader and improve myself every day. The exposure under the MT stint was something I will cherish always, it gave me a chance to interact with individuals across all functions and geographies including international exposure of working in Turkey. Perfetti Van Melle is a great place to work, the organisation has an amazing working culture which I really like, it creates an environment which is always willing to help you learn and be a better individual.
I joined Perfetti in June 2015 and the journey so far has been legendary. The Management trainee programme gives an MT an exposure into the working of almost all the departments of the company. I spent my MT period in all the 4 zones of the country and learnt to acclimatize myself to work with different types of people and cultures. Currently I’m handling Central UP as an ASM. The exposure of MT stint helps me in taking the right business decisions in my daily professional life. What I loved the most about the MT stint was that besides Sales it also taught us about the role of Marketing, Production, Trade Marketing, HR and finance in the running the company. This helps me in better coordination with the stakeholders in these departments. I was even sent for an International Stint to Sri Lanka where I learnt about the Challenges and opportunities of working in a Middle income country. Perfetti as an employer invests in the professional and personal growth of its employees and makes sure that each and every one of us gets a chance to reach our true potential.
My experience as a Management Trainee 6 months into my stint has been nothing short of exhilarating. I have travelled the lengths and breadths of the country meeting new people, experiencing new cultures and ways of doing things, which has been an eye-opener in itself. The amount of learning has been immense which has been furthered by the continuous support system which is in place for each and every employee. Such a support system has greatly facilitated learning and is furthered by an open culture which makes everyone comfortable in their own skin. Such an open culture has also ensured that there is a world of independence offered to each one of us to come up with new and innovative ways of solving problems. Getting to work across functions such as sales, marketing, manufacturing, supply chain has given us a multi-dimensional perspective of looking at things. The experiences of the past few months has made me all the more excited about what’s in store for us, up ahead for the remainder of the stint.
My first interaction with Perfetti Van Melle was the summer presentation in the 1st year of MBA. It distinctly stood out as an organization brimming with excitement, innovation and drive. Knowing the company in detail thereafter has only validated those initial impressions. The management trainee stint at Perfetti has been a great learning curve. As a sales management trainee, we have had project-based stints across different functions and geographies. An MT will be given the opportunity to work in diverse markets across the country as well as understand the marketing, supply chain and manufacturing side of the business. PVM pays special attention to their employees in general and MTs in particular, and ensures our learning has both width and depth. For that, we shall always be indebted to our company.
